Effective Date: 2nd of August 2025

1. Deposits & Cancellations

• A minimum of 72 hours' notice is required for cancellations prior to the scheduled job date. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in the full payment becoming due.

• Job dates may be rescheduled to the next available slot, subject to availability.

• Deposits are strictly non-refundable. Payment of the deposit constitutes full acceptance of these terms.

• Deposit requirements are as follows:

  • Minimum deposit: £25

  • Quotes over £175: Minimum £50 deposit

  • Quotes over £375: Minimum £100 deposit

  • Quotes over £1,000: Minimum £200 deposit

• All quotes remain valid for a period of 60 days from the date of issue.

2. Key Release Fee

• If keys are not made available by 1:30 PM, a waiting charge of £45 per hour will be incurred.

• For Friday jobs, a £50 non-refundable waiver is applied to allow key handover up until 5:00 PM.

3. Damages & Compensation

While every reasonable effort is made to ensure the safe handling and transport of goods, Man With Van Can™ recognises that, due to the nature of the services provided, occasional damage to property or possessions may occur.

We accept liability only in cases where damage arises as a direct result of negligence during the provision of our services. Claims for damage must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the job completion date. We understand that certain issues may not be immediately apparent, however, any claims made beyond this period will not be considered.

To support any claim, sufficient evidence must be provided to demonstrate that the damage was caused during transit or handling and that the item(s) were not previously damaged. Photographic or video evidence, along with proof of condition prior to the move, may be required.

Items packed by the owner are transported at the owner's own risk. For insurance purposes, an itemised inventory must be supplied prior to the job. Any individual items valued at £10,000 or more must be specifically declared on this inventory. Failure to do so may invalidate a claim.

We offer a professional packing service designed to ensure all goods are suitably protected for transit. Claims will not be accepted for items packed by the customer, or for items listed under speculative or incomplete inventories.

3. Changes to These Terms & Conditions

We may update the Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. Any changes will be posted on this page, and where appropriate, notified to you. We encourage you to review this policy before booking or enquiring about services provided by Man With Van Can Ltd.
